DEVIL’S ISLE SHAKESPEARE COMPANY
Devil’s Isle Shakespeare Co. was founded in 2023 to produce exceptional Shakespeare plays in Bermuda.
Our musical adaptation of The Tempest, celebrates the discovery of the island (the inspiration for the play, written in 1611) and provides—in addition to world class entertainment—myriad opportunities for Bermudian students and theatre-lovers to study and engage with the play and our acting company. The production features original music by Emily Erickson & Séamus Miller.

SEAMUS MILLER - ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Séamus Miller is a theatre and film artist based in Tuckers Town, Bermuda and Washington, DC. He is also the Associate Artistic Director of Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (Baltimore, MD). Séamus has directed and/or performed in over forty professional productions in the US and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. He received a BA from Cornell University (Theatre Arts) and an MFA from The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy (Washington, DC).
Séamus is passionate about creating accessible, exciting, and visually stunning productions of Shakespeare’s plays. Recent directing credits include The Tempest, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Romeo & Juliet, A Christmas Carol, and Richard II.

Emily Erickson is an actor, coach, music director, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in DC after nearly a decade in NYC. Emily is thrilled to be debuting her and Séamus' show in beautiful Bermuda! Recent performance credits include The Honey Trap (Solas Nua), People, Places & Things (Studio Theatre), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Through the Sunken Lands (Kennedy Center TYA), The Oresteia (Chesapeake Shakespeare), Our Black Death (Taffety Punk), Fitting In (Arts on the Horizon), Much Ado About Nothing (Chesapeake Shakespeare), STATIC: Noise of a New Musical (Flying V), Man Covets Bird (Spooky Action), Richard II (Her Majesty & Sons). Emily is a resident teaching artist with Shakespeare Theatre Company and Round House Theatre and has previously taught at NYU, Atlantic Acting School, and the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. RESIDENT STAGE COMBAT & INTIMACY DIRECTOR

Bess is an Associate Instructor and Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors teaching armed and unarmed stage combat techniques at various regional workshops throughout the country. She is a Senior Company Member of The Noble Blades Stage Combat Troupe where she teaches stage combat and theatrical intimacy best practices. She has choreographed 18 Shakespeare plays and counting including six productions of Macbeth. Her stories of love and violence have appeared at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Monumental Theatre Company, Flying V, the Washington Stage Guild, Avant Bard, and DC’s Capitol Fringe Festival. She is the Assistant Combat Instructor and Intimacy Director at the Shakespeare Theater Company’s Academy MFA program and teaches stage combat to young actors in Fairfax and Arlington counties. thebesskayescenario.com

ARTISTIC ASSOCIATE - 2024
Following professional performance training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Quinceé (kwin-say) Kaya Dill has continued to engulf herself in performance and production. She has gone on to write and produce ‘Scissors vs. Ponytail’ and ‘Evia,’ two award nominated short films. Quinceé’s performances showcase her dedication to characters. Infusing her global perspective and life experiences into each one has allowed her to transfer her skills from stage and screen to behind the mic, in voiceover.
Currently based in Bermuda, Quinceé uses her acting talents, knowledge and experience to help storytellers bring their stories to life, she currently offers Actors’ Gym. Through guiding other actors, Quinceé shares tips to create powerful, confident and believable performances.
